Edge Computing > Modular IPCs
To enable the realization of Industry 4.0, field-based edge intelligence is important for developing new IoT applications. Advantech’s MIC-7 series PCs provide high-performance computing, multiple I/O interfaces, and flexible expandability with the integration of i-Modules and iDoor, and can be widely deployed to support various industrial IoT applications. The MIC-7 series can be equipped with a wide range of processors to provide custom entry-level and high-end solutions. With the provision of multiple I/O for connecting devices, MIC-7 systems can serve as a data gateway and industrial controller. Moreover, when integrated with an intelligent i-Module, various add-on cards can be installed for machine automation applications.
High-Performance Computing for Multitasking Operations
To support various IoT applications, the MIC-7 series can be equipped with various Intel® processors, including those from the Core™, Pentium®, Celeron®, and Xeon® families. The wide selection of compatible processors allows customers to flexibly configure custom solutions based on specific application requirements.
Various expansion I/O for flexible communication
The MIC-7 series PCs are equipped with multiple I/O, but occasionally you need more! Located in the front panel for convenient cabling, the system’s flexible I/O interfaces can support various displays, expansion I/O, and intelligent alarm functions to enable diverse machine automation applications. Moreover, with the inclusion of a mini PCIe I/F onboard, Advantech’s PCM/MOS iDoor industrial fieldbus, smart I/O, and communication modules can be integrated for enhanced functionality.
Innovative slot expansion for enhanced control
The MIC i-Module family supports PCIe/PCI I/F add-on cards, such as frame grabber, GPU, and motion control cards. In addition to the power sources from the PCIe/PCI slot, i-Modules reserve an additional 12 VDC of power from the onboard connector for cards that require more power. To better manage the heat generated by these add-on cards, optional system fans with smart functions are supported for enhanced thermal management. Furthermore, Advantech’s i-Modules provide additional HDD/SDD bays for increased storage capacity and also support removable storage bays.
Configure-To-Order Services
For all MIC-7 series PCs, users can customize the system configuration, processor, I/O, iDoor, and i-Module add-ons using Advantech’s Configure-to-Order Services (CTOS). Advantech CTOS is an eBusiness service that offers customers web-based configuration tools, manufacturing services, and global support services for configuring custom solutions. Our mission is to provide an easy-to-order, one-stop online shop with comprehensive product offerings and expert advisors.
