• Networks are becoming increasingly heterogeneous, and as a consequence, the availability of attack vectors is increasing. As multiple stakeholders become increasingly involved in the operation, maintenance or service offered from a system, so the policies, procedures and guidelines of the IEC 62443 standard become an increasingly relevant reference for how to address security in a holistic way.
